Terms of Use
Implementation draft — not yet legally approved. Revised September 1, 2026. The effective date must be finalized before publication.
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern Habit × Hack (the “Service”), provided by Handlerr Inc. (the “Company”). This English version is a translation of the Japanese Terms. If the versions differ, the Japanese version prevails.
1. Application
These Terms apply to the relationship between users and the Company concerning the Service. Additional rules and notices published through the Service or official website form part of these Terms. If an additional rule conflicts with these Terms, the additional rule prevails for that subject.
2. The Service
The Service provides functionality for users to create, store, view, edit, and delete If–Then Plans and My Rules, together with a related website and support.
The Service does not guarantee any particular habit, goal achievement, or life-improvement result and does not provide medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice.
3. Access and Accounts
The Service may create an anonymous Firebase account on first use. Users may use an email address or another authentication method offered by the Company.
Users must provide accurate information, keep authentication credentials secure, and not allow another person to use their credentials. Contact the Company promptly if unauthorized use is suspected.
Minors must obtain the consent of a parent or guardian where required by applicable law.
4. User Content
Users represent that they have the rights necessary for If–Then Plans, My Rules, and other content entered into the Service and that the content does not violate law or these Terms.
Users retain their rights in User Content. Users authorize the Company to handle User Content only as necessary to provide, store, display, maintain, and secure the Service and to delete content at the user's request.
Users should avoid entering sensitive information or another person's Personal Information where it is not necessary.
5. Prohibited Conduct
Users must not:
- violate applicable law or public order;
- engage in conduct related to criminal activity;
- infringe the rights, privacy, or interests of the Company or another person;
- gain unauthorized access, bypass authentication, exploit vulnerabilities, or harm security;
- place an unreasonable load on or disrupt the Service;
- impersonate another person, register false information, or misuse an account;
- unlawfully obtain data from the Service or another system;
- use the Service for an unlawful or harmful purpose or to monitor or evaluate another person; or
- engage in other conduct the Company reasonably determines is inappropriate to protect the Service.
6. Intellectual Property
Intellectual property rights in the Service, software, designs, logos, official content, and other materials provided by the Company belong to the Company or their lawful owners. These Terms do not grant rights beyond the limited right necessary to use the Service normally.
7. Changes, Suspension, and Termination
The Company may change, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service where reasonably necessary for maintenance, failures, security, changes in law or external services, force majeure, or operation of the Service.
Where reasonably practicable, the Company will provide advance notice of material changes, extended suspension, or termination and will handle user data in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
8. Account Restrictions and Deletion
The Company may restrict use or suspend an account to the extent necessary where a user violates these Terms, creates a security risk, or materially disrupts operation. Except in an emergency, the Company will provide information about the reason and available response where practicable.
Users with an email-and-password account may initiate account deletion in the application. Support for anonymous accounts and Google authentication, as well as complete deletion of associated data, includes items that are being improved. See the Privacy Policy for the deletion scope, current handling, and contact method.
9. Disclaimer
The Company does not warrant that the Service will meet a particular purpose, produce an expected result, remain continuously available, be accurate or complete, or be free of all defects.
Users create and use If–Then Plans and My Rules based on their own circumstances and judgment. In an emergency or where professional judgment is required, users should not rely on the Service and should consult an appropriate professional or service.
10. Limitation of Liability
Except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence, the Company is not liable for indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages or lost profits arising from the Service.
Mandatory consumer protection and other applicable laws prevail to the extent that they do not permit all or part of this limitation. Nothing in this section improperly excludes liability imposed by law.
11. Fees
The current Service is offered free of charge based on the repository and public information. If paid functionality or an auto-renewable subscription is introduced, the Company will display the price, period, renewal, cancellation, refund, and other conditions in advance and will update these Terms.
12. Changes to These Terms
The Company may amend these Terms in accordance with applicable law after considering the need for the change, reasonableness of its content, and impact on users. Material changes will be announced through the Service or official website, and consent will be obtained where required by law.
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Unless otherwise required by law, the Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance over disputes concerning the Service.
14. Contact
Questions about these Terms may be submitted through the contact page.
